If you're playing with friends, yes. If you're playing randomly on internet, no.
How long does it take to get to the red heart? I'm going to brake up with Allen when Rod's unlocked so I can Date Neil!!!
There are seven heart colors: black, purple, blue, green, yellow, pink, and red. Each stage of heart color is 10,000 FP. Participating in festivals will also increase FP. You could earn between +1000 and +3000 FP just for attending an event with the other villagers.
You don't need anyone unlocked to date/marry Neil. Rod is need to be unlocked to marry Allen though.

I kept asking Neil out ever sense the blue heart, but I needed Rod to get the Purple heart event for Neil.And keeps on saying " I'm not interested." I'm at the pink heart, I just don't have the recipe for his favorite food, and that's +800 FP. And I'm at Yellow heart with Allen, Who I'll brake up with just for Neil. lol
Have you been asking him out on a sunny non-holiday Saturday or Sunday between 8:00am-11:00pm? I still don't have the recipe for his fav food & not only am I married to Neil, but we have a daughter. She's in the walking stage. You don't need to break up with Neil. Unless, of course, you really want to & have gotten bored of Neil.
